Finished Basement with Custom Built-Ins
An unfinished lower level turned into a full family living space with bespoke joinery and layered lighting.
The existing bathroom had reached the point where patching no longer made sense, so the room was taken back to the studs.
Substrate, slope and waterproof membrane were all renewed before a single tile was set, because that is what determines whether a shower is still sound in fifteen years. Plumbing was reworked to suit the improved layout rather than forcing the new design around the old rough-in.
Marble tiling, frameless glass and carefully placed lighting finish a room that now feels considerably larger than its footprint suggests.
